  Our current management has an impressive and diversified background and we believe solid profit performance results from a strong experienced management team that will provide leadership and vision for the future expansion of our company.  The current executive officers and directors of our company and their present positions are identified below.  Directors of The Volpé Consortium, Inc. hold office until the annual meeting of the shareholders following their election or appointment and until their successors have been duly   elected and qualified.  Officers of The Volpé Consortium, Inc. are elected by and serve the Board of Directors of the company.

William H. Volpé III, PMP, Founder, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board

William H. Volpé III is the founder of The Volpé Consortium, Inc., the creator of our proprietary project management process, the publisher of Project Victories, an online magazine dedicated to business success, and the developer of our one day flagship project management seminar.  Mr. Volpé has more than 20 years of experience in project management and was a Master Business Analyst and Worldwide Manufacturing Program Manager at Hewlett Packard.  His experience includes several multi-million dollar international projects and he holds an Associate Degree in Computer Engineering Technology, a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, a Bachelor Degree in Management, a Master Certificate in Project Management, an Advanced Master Certificate in Project Management, a Professional Business Analyst Certificate, and a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.  Other certifications include an ISCET Journeyman in Computers, an ISCET Journeyman in Industrial Controls, an ISCET Journeyman in Communications, and an ISCET Radiotelephone License.  He currently teaches classes in the ESI International / The George Washington University School of Business curriculum including Project Risk Management, Managing Projects, and Project Scheduling and Cost Control.  He has taught for such companies as Verizon Wireless, Dow Chemical, Shell Oil, Halliburton, the Internal Revenue Service, and the National Geospacial Intelligence Agency.

Mr. Volpé began his project management career as a U.S. Government contractor under SECRET Clearance supporting Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Restore Hope.  He worked at Hewlett Packard in the NonStop Enterprise division and the Business Critical Servers Business Management group for more than five years; was a pre-merger Compaq employee; and completed several new product introduction projects for fault-tolerant, mission-critical customers such as the Pentagon and the world stock markets.  Mr. Volpé has extensive international project experience and his teams have included members from Germany, England, Mexico, Australia, Scotland, Taiwan, and several other countries.

Kevin Pennington, V.P. Marketing, Director

Kevin Pennington is responsible for commercial art, ad layouts, logo designs, ad campaigns, and design of marketing materials.  He has more than 10 years of experience as a commercial artist and during most of that time he has served as the Art Director of a nationally distributed trade publication.  In fact, he has designed every cover for the magazine in the last ten years except for two.  During his time as Art Director he increased web revenue by 30% in five months, increased ad building efficiency by 50% within one year, and increased customer accounts by 2500 customers in five months.

Mr. Pennington’s business experience doesn’t stop with commercial art though.  He has more than 20 years experience in alcoholic beverage sales, distribution, and marketing.  In 2005 he acquired interest in a Florida bar averaging $30K a month in gross sales and within four months increased gross sales to $100K a month before selling it in 2008.  However, not only did he increase sales, but he also reduced staff turnover in the same period while only increasing staff by 10% and he reduced liquor costs from 45% to 21% in one month.  Kevin Pennington holds an Associate Degree in Commercial Art.

Jim Whatley, PMP, Director

Jim Whatley has more than 20 years of experience in project management and was a former V.P. of Engineering at Westinghouse Aerospace.  Additionally, he has been the Director of Engineering at Dresser Industries, DH Technology, and Hewlett Packard.  He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering from Cornell University, a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering from Cornell University, a Master Degree in Business, and a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.  He is currently a Program Executive at IBM Research Division where he typically creates proposals resulting in $100M+ contracts.  Additionally he currently holds TS/SCI security clearances.

While at Hewlett Packard he reduced ASIC development time from 33 months to approximately 14 months using CMM techniques developed by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.  Furthermore, the department was responsible for 43 patents under his management.  While at DH Technology, Mr. Whatley, introduced program management processes that drove the reduction of cycle time for prototype creation from 31 weeks to 11 weeks.  Additionally, he staffed a Project Manager Department at Dresser Industries where he led the engineering development of the “Speed Pass” system in use by Exxon and Mobile.

Joel Desmarais, PMP, CIA, V.P Finance, Director

Joel Desmarais has more than two decades of experience in project management and was a former State of Texas certified tax auditor.  He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  Mr. Desmarais has over 10 years of international experience as a financial auditor and he has consulted on a myriad of projects involving integrity of financial reporting, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and compliance with laws and regulations.  His project management experience has included managing multi-year, international projects with up to 15 offices worldwide.  Additionally, he has over 10 years experience in various accounting positions including credit manager, GL Accountant, and V.P. of Finance.
